What is the difference between a roller ball and a ballpen?
A rollerball refill contains a
water based ink where as a ballpen refill contains an oil based ink.
The ballpen refill will last longer because the oil based ink can be
compressed unlike the water based ink.

Fountain pens need to be cleaned with cold water every couple of fillings. Simply flush through the front end of the pen underneath
a cold running tap.
